living in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, in 1935 when he was mauled by a

initially had trouble adjusting to the diet of animal blood.

Alice can see the future. However, her ability is limited; she can only

As a vampire, he gained the ability to manipulate the emotions of those
around him. He spent a century creating and raising newborns in the
Monterrey area before joining the Cullens. He is still relatively new to
the "vegetarian" lifestyle.

One night, she met her intoxicated fiance and his friends. She was then
beaten, presumably raped, and left to die. Carlisle discovered her and
changed her into a vampire. After her transformation, she tortured and
killed those who had beaten her,but did not drink their blood.

She one expressed interest in Edward, but was rejected. The Cullens
are very close to Tanya's clan, and consider them to be something

She is the most open-minded vampire in the Denali coven. Carmen's

Patrick has the ability to take energy from outside sources, transfer it to another power source, and exert it with twice as much power as before. For example, he will take the electricity from a desk lamp, mentally transfer it to another electric light, and then have the light break with the extra energy it has gained.
